What’s new Kyle? “I’m living in Norfolk, VA now, traveling all over, and helping out w/ our family Cardinal Skate Shop. Life’s been awesome here in Virginia, but in January I’m moving to LA to focus more on skateboarding… it’s my passion. It’s gonna be good to hang w/ friends there too.”

What early skating experiences influenced you? “When I was a little kid, I would go to Mt. Trashmore Park and watch guys like Rob “Pewee” Agliam, Sergie Ventura and Henry Gutierrez. It was really cool… these guys and others influenced me. Skateboarding opened my eyes, it’s about freedom.”

Which are your favorite current skaters? “Lot’s, especially Mike Peterson, Donny Barley & Justin Strubing.”

What inspires you in life? “Mostly my family and friends. Also I like traveling and meeting new people. I’ve learned you grow a lot more with new experiences. Getting out of my comfort zone has been good for me.”

What other interests do you have? “I love to cut loose on drums and I help out at our skate shop (Cardinal Skateshop). I also like to surf and snowboard, but I’m not very good.”

What music do you listen to? “I like Mountain Goats, Modest Mouth, rock n’ roll, lot’s of music.”

Which movies do you like? “I like relaxing and humorous movies like Old School, Ibbie Goes Down, and Lost in Translation. “

What, if anything bothers you? “My biggest pet peeve is people who are obnoxious with their over-inflated egos. Just chill and have fun.”

Why skate NiNjA? “They’re fast bearings… I love ‘em. Everyone who rides them likes them… they’re strong, don’t break, very solid.”

Words: “Live fully every day. Be positive, go out and have fun. Don’t worry too much about the future or you’ll miss the day.”
