Influential skaters growing up? “Well, for me, it wasn’t any skaters in the early days that had influence on my skating… it was surfers like Lopez, Rory, Reno, BK, Fritzgerald, Hackman, and LB. The skaters of the mid 70’s were Jay Adams, TA, The Worm, Waldo, Hitchcock, Weed, Late 70’s Strople, Strandlund, Economy, The Badlands, Del Mar Crew, Hackett, Pineapple and Rodney Jesse.”

Current skaters you admire: “Omar, Reul, Patch, Hawk, PLG, Jake Brown, Rocky, and a bunch of street guys, some I don’t even know their names, except the amazing Ryan Sheckler.”

What inspires you in life? “Life itself, my kids and wife, powder, surf and empty pools.”

Musical interests, favorite groups? “Jazz, Rock, Hip Hop, Rap, Country and Punk. The Hunns, Skatanic Red Necks, The Dregs, Pearl Jam.”

Other interests: “Surfing, Snowboarding, Windsurfing, Golf, Mountain Biking and draining pools.”

What, if anything, bothers you? “Tourists and complainers.”
